Next Dublin OpenCoffee: Friday APRIL 13

This year is flying by! OpenCoffee skipped a March meetup due simply to too much going on. We’re back on April 13th instead of the 6th due to the Easter holiday. We’ll be at KC Peaches on Nassau Street from 10am on Friday April 13th. As usual, we’ll be there until around noon.

KC Peaches

KC Peaches is located at 28/29 Nassau Street, very close to the Pearse Street DART station and Grafton Street, so it’s easy to get to. Their coffee, pastries and food are all fantastic and healthy, too! (Also, if you’re having a particularly bad morning, they have just opened a great new wine cellar in the basement!)  KC Peaches also provides free Wi-Fi via Bitbuzz for your first 20 minutes in the cafe. We’re usually downstairs and in the room to your left.

I have two slots for people who want to talk about upcoming events or demo projects they’re working on. Please get in touch or leave a comment below if you’re interested in demoing or talking. If you’re demoing, kindly remember that we don’t have an overhead projector or anything, so it’s very informal and best kept to about five minutes or less.

Thanks and see you on April 13th!

Next Dublin OpenCoffee: Friday February 3rd

I’ve had a few emails from people looking to hire technology talent. Please feel free to leave comments below about what you’re looking for and those interested can come along and chat with you about your company and the role. Another option are the job postings at our new Irish technology magazine, Idea: Job Board at Idea Magazine.

We have someone in to talk about the wildly successful Coder Dojos that have been happening in Ireland lately!  I also have one more demo slot if someone would like to share what they’re working on, just let me know or leave a comment below.

Thanks and see you on February 3rd!

Next Dublin OpenCoffee: Thursday September 8th 2011

Welcome back! Hope everyone had a great summer.  Dublin OpenCoffee is back starting on Thursday September 8th.  Based on some feedback we’re going to start a bit earlier this time so we’ll be meeting at 10am, but we’ll still stick around until about noon.

We’re meeting at Foam Cafe on 24 Great Strand Street (near the Jervis Street Luas stop / Bar Italia on the Quays).  We have several start-ups coming down from Derry and we also have a small tech demo from an exciting company who are launching next week!

Should be a great meet-up, so I hope to see you all there.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me.  We’re full for demos this month but if you’d like to demo or talk about your technology (remember no sales pitches) in October, please get in touch.

Thanks and see you on September 8th!
